TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP): A man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing his wife in Indiana and dumping her body in a southwestern Ohio ditch.
 
       A Vigo County judge ordered the sentence Tuesday for 50-year-old Lorenzo Archer Jr. after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in the death of Kayla Archer.
 
       The Tribune-Star reports authorities say the couple was living in Terre Haute before Kayla Archer's body was found in June 2013 in Greene County, Ohio. Investigators believe she had died perhaps three days earlier from asphyxiation.
 
       Authorities needed three days before her body was identified through fingerprints.
 
       Lorenzo Archer was later arrested in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He had faced a murder charge, but that was dropped in a plea agreement with prosecutors.
