LEBANON, Ind. (AP) – Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana has announced a new campaign to try to solve a hit-and-run crash that killed a 78-year-old Indiana woman in November 2012.

WISH-TV reports police and Crime Stoppers released a new public service announcement Monday created with the help of Ball State University aimed at finding the responsible for the death of Anita Wernsing of Fayette.

Wernsing was leaving Mount Tabor Primitive Church near Zionsville on foot when she was struck and killed. Family members who attended the announcement Monday in Lebanon say they are hoping for closure.
 
Police say that after running off the road, the northbound vehicle that hit Wernsing continued on Indiana 267 without stopping. There is a reward of up to $1,000 if a tip leads to an arrest.
