Laotta Man Dies In Truck Roll Over

AVILLA, Ind. (WOWO):  A Laotta man is dead after losing control of his vehicle.

Around 8:20 p.m. Friday night, 49 year old Gerald Quinn was driving southbound on County Road 600 East in his 2001 Dodge Dakota.  Officers found indications he was driving at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line and traveled off the east side of the road.  The vehicle went into an embankment, rolled three times and came to a rest on top of a flooded area of a field, submerging Quinn.

Emergency crews arrived and attempted to provide medical attention and CPR, however Quinn was pronounced dead at the scene.
