Indiana Panel Taking Up School Standards Debate

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Education Roundtable is set to review proposed school benchmarks meant to replace the national Common Core standards. The roundtable is led by Republican Governor Mike Pence and Democratic state schools chief Glenda Ritz.  One State Board of Education member wants to reinstate old benchmarks used before Indiana adopted the national standards in 2010.
