Muncie woman killed after car strikes train

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a 23-year-old Muncie woman died after her vehicle traveling the wrong way on a highway collided with a train south of the city.

The Star Press reports Brenna Ann Parsons's car was crushed under the Norfolk Southern shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night and flipped onto the median. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn.

Parsons was the only person in the vehicle.
