Southwestern Indiana Author Found Slain

LINTON, Ind. (AP): Authorities in southwestern Indiana say they are investigating the death of an author as a homicide.

Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce says 47-year-old Ruby Moon-Houldson of Linton was found dead Wednesday at a home south of the city about 80 miles southwest of Indianapolis. The cause of death was not released pending autopsy results.

Police interviewed several people at a second home in Linton. There were no immediate arrests.

The Herald-Times reports Moon-Houldson was the author of more than 30 books. She wrote science fiction, paranormal and romance and several “Star Trek'' tribute and reference books. Her latest book, “Closing Argument'' published in April, tells the story of a woman's dying husband, the couple's final days together and finding life after death.
