Pence: Indiana ready to deal with Ebola…

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Gov. Mike Pence says he is confident state officials will be able to contain Ebola if it ever reaches Indiana.

Pence said Thursday that the state's successful containment of a patient who had a mysterious Middle East virus this past spring shows that officials are prepared to handle other infectious diseases.

Pence and state health officials briefed local health care providers Thursday afternoon on the state's preparations. He spoke with media Thursday shortly after receiving his flu shot later in the day.
