Fort Wayne man shot three times on city’s northeast side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left one person in serious condition Tuesday night.
According to Fort Wayne Police spokesman Michael Joyner, police were called to a home in the 4600 block of Evard Road at about a quarter after 10pm after a number of callers reported hearing a large number of gunshots. Police found a man laying on the floor, suffering from three gunshot wounds and losing a significant amount of blood. He was taken to a local hospital and stabilized, but police say he wasn’t very cooperative with their investigation, only saying he didn’t know why anyone would want to shoot him.
One witness reported seeing a man running away from the scene toward some nearby apartments, but apparently didn’t provide further details.
