Northwest Allen Co. Schools Focusing on New School Year’s Challenges

FORT WAYNE, Ind: (WOWO): Northwest Allen County students returned to class today. Superintendent Chris Himsel tells WOWO News a new school year always means new challenges:

“The challenges are always just trying to meet the individual needs of our kids. We have some new students, we have a new group of kindergartners, and we're going to have to meet some new needs.”

As if that weren't enough, there's still some construction to do:

“We do have a couple of roof projects that are ongoing,” Himsel adds, “simply because June was a month where they didn't get any work done, though they were planning to.”

Northwest and Southwest Allen County Schools started up today; Fort Wayne Community and East Allen County schools resumed yesterday.
