FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You may want to avoid Maysville Road near East State Blvd next week. 

The Allen County Highway Department says Maysville Road will be closed to through traffic 1000 Feet south of E. State Boulevard for an Allen County Highway Department bridge project.

This closure will be for the reconstruction of the Maysville Road Bridge over the Bullerman Ditch between E. State Boulevard and Turkey Run Blvd. and Welshire Blvd.

R.L. McCoy will be doing the work and is anticipating work will be completed in June of 2016. They will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. There will be a marked detour for this project using State Boulevard, Maplecrest Road and Lake Avenue/North River Road.
