FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A 27-year-old Fort Wayne woman was the victim of a deadly crash in Fort Wayne on Monday, according to the Allen County Coroner's Office.

Toyia Cain died at a local hospital after she was hit by a van near the intersection of Leora and High streets at about 7:30 a.m., the coroner's office said. 

The cause of death was blunt force trama and was ruled an accident. 

This is the first traffic fatality in Allen County this year. The crash is still under investigation.
