WABASH, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw couple was hospitalized after a crash north of Wabash on Monday.

In the crash, 79-year-old Harold Huston suffered a severe leg injury and was airlifted from the scene. Shirley Huston, 76, was taken to Dukes Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators say the Hustons were in a van travelling east on US 24 at State Road 115 just before noon. An INDOT dump truck hit the van on the driver’s side door.

The other driver wasn’t injured.
