Fort Wayne teen to be tried as adult in weekend murder case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A juvenile arrested for his accused role in a fatal shooting over the weekend will be tried as an adult.

17-year-old Kevin Hamilton has been charged with felony murder, murder, and robbery, according to 21Alive.

He is being identified by police because he is being tried as an adult. Police have not released the identify of the other juvenile, who is still in custody and facing charges of his own.

Hamilton and the juvenile are accused of trying to rob a man for marijuana on Sunday on River Run Trail. A shot was fired, and 18-year-old Brian Quintana died later, but not before identifying his shooters to police.
