Fort Wayne Police investigating gas station robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a gas station on East State Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

Police say an employee of the gas station at East State and Crescent told them a man wearing a mask entered the store at about 3am, followed him down an aisle of the store, and put a gun in his back, demanding money.

The employee says he opened the cash register, let the man take some cash, and watched him run away from the store, headed south. The employee wasn’t hurt.

It’s the third time that station has been robbed in two months.
