FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An upcoming show in Fort Wayne by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will happen a month earlier than originally planned.

The Fort Wayne Air Show was originally set for around the 4th of July, but the Thunderbirds have requested, and been granted, new show dates of June 8th and 9th.

Air Show Executive Director Col. Kyle Noel tells our Partners in News at ABC 21 the move not only avoids conflicts with the holiday but will also make for more comfortable temperatures for the outdoor event.

The show will also feature U.S. Special Operations Command Para-Commandos, the P-51 Mustang will fly a demonstration, and Skip Stewart, one of the top aerobatic pilots in the world, will perform.

The show will be free and will take place at the Fort Wayne Air National Guard base.
