A Delay in the Smoke House Shooter Murder Trial

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The trial of the man accused of shooting and killing a Fort Wayne tobacco store owner has been delayed until next year.

22-year-old Jamel Coleman is now set to go to trial on January 13th. The trial is scheduled to last three days. He's charged with murder and robbery causing bodily injury in the April 7th death of Antonio Lopez Nino. Nino was the shop owner of the Smoke House Tobacco Outlet on S. Lafayette Street in Fort Wayne.

According to court documents, Coleman and Nino got into a fight during an attempted robbery. Coleman bound the store owner in duct tape and shot him.

Coleman was later captured in Indianapolis.
