FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Monday morning, Deputy Mayor Karl Bandemer will read a proclamation declaring the week of September 22, Lincoln Week, in Fort Wayne.

There will be a number of events during the week that will highlight President Abraham Lincoln, ending with the annual R. Gerald McMurtry Lecture on September 26. This is an annual event presented by the Friends of the Lincoln Collection.

Deputy Mayor Bandemer will read the proclamation on Monday at 10:00 a.m., in Mayor Tom Henry's office located in Citizens Square.
