FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man acused of stabbing his mother-in-law to death in 2013 has been sentenced to 65 years in prison.
That's the maximum sentence that Freddie Alcantar Junior could have been sentenced to.
Alcantar was found guilty in August of this year. It was determined that Alcantar killed 59 year old Debra Jones in her northeast Fort Wayne home because Jones would not financially support him if his wife left him.
According to our partners in news at 21Alive, Alcantar will get some credit for time served.
