Another IMPD Officer Arrested on Suspicion of Drunken Driving

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): IMPD Officer Ronald Santa was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of drunken driving.

According to the Indianapolis Star, State police received phone calls just before 11:00 p.m. from concerned drivers, reporting an erratic driver on I-70.

Moments later, a trooper pulled over 42-year-old Santa. He was off duty and driving his own vehicle. Santa, who worked as a K9 officer, failed a field sobriety test. He registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.10, according to Indiana State Police.

In Indiana, a person is considered intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 or greater.

Santa’s arrest comes as IMPD continues to deal with Officer David Bisard who was arrested back in April for his second alleged drunken-driving offense.
