BF Goodrich Woodburn plant to receive $100M investment

WOODBURN, Ind. (WOWO): A tire plant near Woodburn is looking at a $100-million upgrade.

The News-Sentinel reports that BF Goodrich plans on investing the money into new equipment through 2020, designed for safety upgrades. The company is asking for a tax break from the Allen County Council this Thursday, in hopes of saving $3.5-million in property taxes over a 10-year period. No new jobs are expected with the investment.

BF Goodrich currently employs around 1,600 people at the plant, located off Old US 24.
