Fort Wayne, Ind. — The City of Fort Wayne is asking for volunteers to help sandbag and protect homes in the Belle Vista, Bradbury, Prairie Grove and Broad Ripple neighborhoods. The Street Department is delivering sandbags and volunteers are needed to place the bags and protect the residences.  

Volunteers are needed beginning at 6:00 p.m. and should wear gloves and boots. 

Volunteers should report to the Belle Vista Boulevard bridge for further directions.  To access the bridge, take Old Trail Road off of Bluffton Road and then turn right on to Belle Vista.
