California Man Goes To Prison Following Massive Drug Shipment At Indianapolis International Airport

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) — A California man is headed to federal prison after being caught with a massive drug shipment at the Indianapolis International Airport.

Twenty-one-year-old Cesar Alexander Pineda-Penaloza was intercepted by federal agents carrying two suitcases containing nearly 45 pounds of pure methamphetamine.

He has been sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in prison for drug distribution.

U.S. Attorney Tom Wheeler stated the sentence prevents a huge amount of poison from reaching the community and sends a clear message to traffickers.
