City’s Neighborhood Leaf Pick-Up Complete

The City of Fort Wayne Street Department completed the 2012 leaf collection of more than 15,000 tons through the City’s 355 neighborhoods last week.  The seven-week leaf pick-up process went through each neighborhood two times and was completed on schedule, thanks to cooperative weather.

If you still have leaves, you can place them in biodegradable bags and call 311 to schedule a pick-up.  They will be picked-up within two business days. However, this service will only be available through December 21st, after the 21st, leaves and other yard waste can be dropped of at the City’s two yard waste sites, the Biosolids facility in the 6000 block of Lake Avenue directly across from Lofton Way, and National Serv-All at 6231 Macbeth Road for a nominal fee.
