Congressman Messer says more can be done to prevent tragedy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): He said that his heart breaks when thinking about it. The school shooting tragedy in Florida two weeks ago really hit home for Congressman Luke Messer.

Messer, who joined Fort Wayne’s Morning News today, told Charly Butcher, the recent incident brings back memories of what the country did in response to 9/11 seventeen years ago.

The Congressman said that he believes gun bans are not the answer, stating that taking guns away means removing guns from law abiding people, who he says are not the problem.
