FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's 40 years in prison for Fort Wayne man.

An Allen Superior Court Judge handed down the sentence this morning. Last month, James Burton was convicted on two counts of child molestation. That's according to the Journal-Gazette.

Burton, who was pastor of Greater Faith Baptist Church, was originally charged with performing sex acts on a girl who was in placed with his family for foster care.

Those crimes occurred between 2009 and 2012. According to the newspaper report, the girl tipped off a teacher at her school sparking the investigation.
