INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Attorneys for four lesbian couples have filed a federal lawsuit that's the third challenge in the past week targeting Indiana's same-sex marriage ban.
 
       The lawsuit was filed Friday by four couples who were married in states that allow same-sex marriages. It argues that their constitutional equal protection and due process rights are being violated and they're being denied legal protections because Indiana doesn't recognize their marriages.
 
       Three of the couples include spouses who are police officers, while the fourth couple includes a spouse who's a firefighter.
 
       Their suit seeks an injunction ordering Indiana to recognize the couples' marriages as valid and for the state's pension fund for police officers and firefighters to extend the officers' and firefighter's spouses the same benefits opposite-sex spouses would enjoy.
