FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Sweetwater Sound’s big expansion project is getting some help from Allen County.

The County Council approved more than $2-million in property tax breaks for the audio gear and music instrument retailer Thursday.

That will go toward Sweetwater’s plans to expand their Fort Wayne facility by building a new 350,000-square-foot warehouse and a 35,000-square-foot conference center, adding more than 1,000 new full-time jobs by the end of 2022.

The Journal Gazette reports the Fort Wayne City Council is also expected to pass $12.5-million in tax breaks for the project at their November 27th meeting.
