Indianapolis Coach Accused of Child Seduction

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): An assistant swim coach at an Indianapolis high school is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Matthew Carrington was charged Thursday with felony child seduction. He's accused of sending nude photos to the girl and making plans to have sex with her.

The teen's mother contacted police earlier this week after discovering inappropriate text messages someone sent to her daughter. She told police the messages were sent by Carrington, a coach for the swim team and swim club at North Central High School.

Court documents show the girl told police Carrington made sexual contact with her on school property.

Carrington was fired from the high school Tuesday following the allegations.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Carrington. He's scheduled to appear in court Friday.
