FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne physician’s medical license will be suspended for at least another 90 days.
The Journal Gazette reports the Indiana Medical Licensing Board is still investigating Michael Cozzi’s practice at the Fort Wayne Interventional Pain Management Clinic, where he prescribed 2-million doses of oxycodone, which is very addictive, as well as 1.2-million doses of hydrocodone.
Cozzi was arrested in March for possession of a narcotic drug, but that case has since been dropped.
The Board says Cozzi distributed the most controlled substance prescriptions in the state for two straight years.
