Dead man pulled from Maumee River in Paulding County, Ohio

PAULDING COUNTY, Ohio. (WOWO): Police in Paulding County say they pulled a dead body from the river Saturday afternoon.

Just after 2 p.m. Saturday, police pulled the body from the Maumee River just east of the Indiana-Ohio border.

“The body is a male, wearing blue jeans and black zip up boots,” said Paulding County Sheriff Jason Landers in a statement. “It appears the body has been in the water for some time.”

More information will be released when the man has been identified and his next of kin is notified. They, along with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, continue to investigate.
