Driver killed in LaGrange County while trying to avoid deer

HOWE, Ind. (WOWO): A teenager is dead after crashing northeast of Howe just after midnight Sunday.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department responded to the wreck on East CR 700 N just east of North CR 125 E. A police report states that the female juvenile lost control and hit a tree. She died on the scene.

Three other passengers were also in the car. They told police the driver tried to avoid a deer that ran out on the middle of the road. The other passengers suffered minor injuries.
