FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Erin’s House raised $400,000 at its 20th annual Wine for the Spirit fundraiser earlier this month.

Held at Electric Works, the event featured auctions, local food and wine, and community support.

Proceeds fund free grief support for children and families throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

Erin’s House has served more than 32,000 individuals over 32 years.

I am one of the 32,000 served, 26 years ago.
So many grieving Children, Parents, Family and Friends have started their long road to healing and sharing thru Erin’s House. I think it’s a wonderful thing to have available, during an awful time.

They don’t help you to forget, they don’t make your life easier.. but they are there to offer support and help you find your way.

Erin’s House has certainly come a long way, raising this magnitude of funding.
This wouldn’t be possible without donors and volunteers. My hat’s off to you all.
(i don’t really wear a hat.. but i do know some volunteers, and know how precious their time is, that they give)

I am surprised this event was held at Electric Works. They really have grown, with more of an outreach to this area, than i ever thought possible!

I will forever remember Erin’s House for it’s humble beginnings, and what it was able to offer, with so little a budget.
Please don’t forget that.
