OHIO, (WOWO) — House Bill 186 could give Ohio property owners $1.7 billion in tax relief by capping school revenue at the 20-mill floor.

While lawmakers back the move, some school district leaders warn of major funding losses.

WTOL Toledo 11 reports that Superintendents say the bill could lead to staff cuts and more frequent levy requests.

The legislation is still under review in committee.
