INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A federal grand jury has indicted four men for allegedly operating a heroin distribution ring out of an Indianapolis inner-city auto body shop.
The indictment charges 36-year-old Francisco Javier Perez-Garcia, 26-year-old Mario Vasquez, 46-year-old Agustin Martinez-Acosta and 27-year-old Jeronimo Lagunes with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. Perez-Garcia and Vasquez also were charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says the ring sold heroin originating in Mexico, California and Houston from Perez-Garcia's body shop in the Brightwood neighborhood on the near north side of Indianapolis. Court documents allege more than a kilogram of heroin valued at more than $100,000 was seized in the investigation.
A message seeking comment was left for an attorney for Lagunes. Court records didn't list attorneys for the other three men.
