Five people are in the Allen County Jail after a violent robbery at a southwest Fort Wayne gas station Friday evening. 

Police say the group entered the Circle K on Engle Road together around 6:30 p.m.

 One woman allegedly began throwing items at an employee before all five joined in the assault. 

Investigators say the suspects also damaged store equipment and stole merchandise, causing an estimated $15,000 in damage. 

The injured employee was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization. 

Indiana State Police later stopped the suspects’ vehicle, leading to the arrests. 

The suspects now face multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including robbery and battery.
