Fort Wayne is implementing a new policy for city-owned vehicles.

City-owned vehicles will not be permitted to be used outside of Allen County without prior authorization for official city business beginning July 1.

The city estimates that up to half a million dollars could be saved each year by implementing the police. They say that money would be able to be out toward infrastructure projects.
