FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 36-year-old Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for molesting a girl over a five-year period.
36-year-old Walter O. Herrera was sentenced on two separate charges of child molesting, according to the News Sentinel, as part of a plea deal that dismissed eight additional related charges.
He admitted to molesting the girl between October 2010 and July 2015. The girl was 15 when she told her mother about it.
Prosecutors say Herrera first denied abusing the girl, then blamed her, saying they had consensual sex.
