FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Renting in Fort Wayne this year was no easy task.

A new report shows apartment occupancy climbed to 95.4%, and renters had to compete with eight others per unit on average.
Vacant units filled quickly – just 36 days – and with little new construction, supply isn’t keeping up.

Fort Wayne was ranked among the most competitive small markets for renters nationwide.
