Fort Wayne woman admits poisoning niece’s milk

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne woman pleaded guilty to attempted murder Monday.

Sarai Rodriguez-Miranda, 19 of Fort Wayne, admitted Monday that she tried to poison her 11-week-old niece, according to The Journal Gazette.

Rodriguez-Miranda admitted to crushing Excedrin tablets and putting the powder into a bottle of breast milk. As part of the plea agreement, she could serve up to 25 years in jail.

She will be sentenced May 18.
