Fort Wayne’s High-risk buildings not getting annual fire inspections

A new city audit has found that some of .  According to the Journal Gazette, The goal of the city fire department is to inspect every high-risk building once a year, but a reduction in personnel created by budget cuts have made that task impossible. High-risk buildings are those that hold 1,000 people or more, as well as other high occupancy buildings such as schools, apartment buildings, hotels and hospitals.
