FWCS Applies for Magnet School Grant

Fort Wayne Community Schools is applying for a $12 million Magnet Schools Assistance Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Education.  The grant would be used to strengthen and expand academic programs in select schools.

The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees approved a resolution Monday supporting the grant. The district will be notified in the fall if it is awarded the competitive grant.
