FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo welcomed it's newest member for the first time today.  

Kiango, a 6-week old giraffe ventured out to the public for the first time today. In the last few weeks, he's grown to nearly 7 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds.  

Zoo keepers say Kiango is an adventureous baby.  The name means “light” in Swahili… and you can see him during your next visit to the zoo… if he's not resting.
