Gary Couple Found Stabbed to Death in House

GARY, Ind. (AP) – Gary police say a 62-year-old man and his 54-year-old wife were found stabbed to death inside a city home.
 
The Post-Tribune of Merrillville reports police said they found Leviticus Dupree and Toshiba Dupree in their home shortly after 2 p.m. Officers found two bloody kitchen knives inside the house. 
 
A 22-year-old man was shot to death in May as he sat in his car outside the house.
 
Police say couple likely been dead for about 12 hours when police arrived.
 
The deaths raise the number of homicides in the city so far this year to 47. That's four more than all of last year.
