INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Thunderstorms have buffeted Indiana, leaving thousands of electricity customers without service and downing trees and limbs across the state.
 
       The National Weather Service says winds gusts in Indianapolis and Bedford were estimated at or near 60 mph Monday evening.
 
       Utilities reported about 25,000 power customers lost service at some point. The included about 15,000 customers of Indianapolis Power and Light, which still had about half that number without service at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
 
       The weather service says hail measuring nearly three-quarters of an inch in diameter fell in Fort Wayne. It also says 5.4 inches of rain fell in the town of Brook in northwestern Indiana's Newton County, causing widespread flash flooding, with 4-6 inches of standing water on some roads and parking lots.
