Hoagland woman charged with theft for stealing money from PTO

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Hoagland woman will have to pay more than $18,000 to the Heritage High School PTO after police say she stole money.

The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office charged Genevieve M. Meyer, 36, with two counts of theft. She was sentenced to a three year suspended sentence. All three years will be served on probation, according to Indiana State Police.

She was ordered to pay $18,599.08 to the Heritage High School PTO.

Meyer served as the treasurer for the Heritage Elementary Parent Teachers Organization. She pled guilty to using the PTO’s credit card to withdraw money from the Heritage High School PTO’s account between January 2013 and November 2014.
