INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (WOWO) Indiana Governor Mike Braun has announced $15 million in grants to support career coaching programs for students across the state. The funding, administered by the Indiana Department of Education, was awarded to 21 organizations to help students explore career options, gain workforce skills, and make informed decisions after graduation.

“Indiana’s Career Coaching Grant reflects our commitment to helping students explore future career options and consider what makes the most sense for their future after high school graduation,” Braun said. “This investment empowers students to grow their skills and talents, fill the gap in high-demand, good paying jobs, and step into a future where they can thrive and our state can prosper.”

The grants are part of Senate Enrolled Act 365 – 2025, which tasked IDOE with distributing $15 million to eligible entities. This year, applications increased 37% from the previous cycle, with more than $45 million requested. Funding was strategically distributed to reach the largest number of counties possible.

“Every student should graduate prepared for what’s next,” said Dr. Katie Jenner, Indiana Secretary of Education. “These grants increase access to consistent, individualized career coaching that helps students identify their goals and develop a plan to achieve them.”

Recipients include Adam Wells Manufacturing Alliance, Christel House International, Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, Northern Indiana Educational Service Center, Region 8 Educational Service Center, and Wilson Education Service Center, among others. Grant amounts range from $55,000 to $1.73 million.

The current grant period runs through June 30, 2027.
