Indiana Family Stunned as Crash Kills Father of 10…

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ Relatives and friends of a central Indiana man killed in a head-on collision are struggling to console his grieving wife and care for the couple's eight children.

Thirty-seven-year-old Oscar Cardenas was one of two men killed in Wednesday's crash that devastated his large, close-knit family.

The sister of Cardenas' wife tells The Herald Bulletin Amalia Cardenas is “in a daze'' and devastated by her husband's death.

Jo Dimas says friends and family are helping care for the couple's eight children to get to school and feed them. She says Cardenas also has two other children from a previous marriage.

Eyewitnesses told police a car driven by a Muncie man crashed into a car carrying Cardenas and three others who were headed to a farm to help harvest tomatoes.
