COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ An Indiana Guardsman who pleaded guilty to having homemade explosive devices in his vehicle in Ohio is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court.

The defense says Andrew Scott Boguslawski (boh-guhs-LAW'-skee) acted recklessly but didn't mean to harm anyone and deserves home detention instead of prison time when he's sentenced Friday.

The prosecution recommended he get about four years in prison.

Records show he had nine unregistered bombs and four devices that could be converted into bombs when he was stopped for speeding in January, on his way from Pennsylvania to Indiana.

The lawyer for the 44-year-old Boguslawski has said his client played the role of an enemy fighter when he helped train troops departing for war zones and wanted to make the job as real as possible.
