Inmate Charged in Jail Officer Beating

A Fort Wayne man has been charged with battery after a fight with an Allen County Jail confinement officer.  Jeremy Pinkston had been booked into the jail on a false reporting charge on November 20th.  The Journal Gazette says that the following day, he reportedly began fighting with the officer who suffered a broken nose and an eye injury in the brawl.  Those injuries will require surgery to correct.  Pinkston will remain in jail until he can come up with a bail amount of more than $15,000.
