Inmate Escapes from Federal Prison in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WOWO): An inmate has escaped from the minimum-security federal prison in Terre Haute.

Guards noticed 61-year-old Michael Ward was missing Sunday morning during roll call. According to our partners in news at 21Alive, authorities believe Ward used a government-owned Chevy Silverado as a getaway car.

Police are looking for Ward, who's described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 195 pounds. He was serving a ten year sentence in Terre Haute for fraud.
